REPLACEMENT KEYS & LOCKS
You will need to purchase a new lock which will come with two (2) to three (3) keys depending on your model.
The official Canada Post lock is only available through Canada Post. Contact your local Postmaster for more information.
COMMON CANADA POST QUERIES
For new constructions, Canada Post requires incorporating one (1) parcel compartment for every eight (8) tenants.

When prepared for private use, Canada Post can only drop off mail in the slot.
When prepared for postal use, Canada Post can only access the compartment to retrieve mail.
This does not apply to the 1600-DD since it has a designated door for the mail carrier.
Mail slots dimensions can vary according to door size.

On ‘A’ and ‘BV’ doors, mail slots are ½″ High × 5″ Wide

On ‘BH’; ‘C’; ‘D’ and ‘E’ doors, mail slots are ½″ High × 10″ Wide

The parcel key return slot is ½ High × 3″ Wide

The locking panel houses the master lock which avoids losing a functional door.
The locking panel houses the lock mechanism and is not accessible for mail storage, whereas the unusable door can become functional with a Partial Kit.

“Snap-On Trim” is an anodized aluminum finishing used to hide gaps and imperfections while providing an aesthetically complete look.
Powder coating is available on all horizontal, 4C, CBU and mini storage models.
It is designed to keep the unit open during deliveries for easy access and security.
Lift the unit upright, use the key to open the access door, release the gates, and retrieve installation items from the parcel compartment.
It controls the circuit, remaining closed until engaged by the lock, opening the circuit for door operation.
MISCELLANEOUS INSTALLATION QUERIES
Each unit comes with a bag of keys, where each key is numbered according to the door it opens. It's crucial to keep these bags with their designated units to avoid mixing. The sequence usually starts from the top left door and proceeds downward.
Abloy locks are keyed alike, suitable for clients needing uniform access, while CMC private master locks are uniquely keyed, enhancing individual security. Both replace Canada Post’s master locks for privately managed mailboxes.
